How To Identify Scams

Lately, I heard about a new format in scams from a friend. I think it is some sort of scam that works on people's greed to get more without doing much. As always with anything online, if it sounds too good to be true, it definitely is too good to be true:) So according to my friend, the scam goes like this... Someone will send you a link to join this group chat and in the group chat, there will be people telling you how you can make use of Online Game Sites to make money! They will then tell you that you can do so easily because there is a "teacher" who will teach you how to do so because the teacher found a weakness in the programming or a bug in the website. All you need to do is to follow the teacher and it is 100% will make money... they encourage you to start with a small amount first.... Just received this email in my mailbox... Supposedly from PayPal... Likely a scam because: Official paypal mail does not really end with paypal.com Even official emails from Paypal do not end with paypal.com. They usually end depending on which country you are from. Eg if you set up your acc in singapore, it will be from Paypal.sg because PayPal in singapore falls under PayPal Pte Ltd. There is a lack of paypal logo in the email Do you double check where exactly an email was sent to you from despite whatever the NAME of the sender is? It is always a good idea to do that in addition to making checks based on: Are there proper formal logos? Any spelling errors? The contact email tat they send you, does the email address look legit? It's always better to be safe... than sorry..
