Possible Scam Report: Yieli.com 16 November 2009

Just received this email today...

I suspect it comes from the same people who were scammed my husband...

Everything, their offer, and modus operandi is the same.. the only difference is that they claim to be from a different company and is using a different name...

I repeat, it is not possible to get iphones wholesale ANYWHERE in the world for tat kind of low price..

Be careful so that you wun be scammed...

its not so much a scam as the persons email has been hacked and used to send spam

well, if the website is a scam, then it is considered a scam.. even if the person who sent it out is unaware of it..

my purpose was to ask pple to be careful when visiting the website stated in the email...

I still see alot of those postings tat look scammy online so I know they are still very active:)

If Yliele.com IS a scam site, it's the most sophisticated I've seen- everything is there, including proper account setups, transaction records, tracking etc. I'm waiting to see if I've been had, after thinking a friend of mine had bought an iphone from there and recommended it to me. Time will tell and perhaps my eye for a bargain will have misled me.

Anyway, the website tat scammed my hubby was equally well equipped with the above mentioned:) It doesnt take alot to set those up if you know how to do it:)

Yes, yliele.com IS a scam, as is reveole.com! Avoid it at all costs! I lost US610 in December 09 by falling for it, wanting an iPhone 3GS 32Gb.(570 + freight. They string you along then nothing happens. They went quiet for a while but are back in business with their clever Live Chat robot.Put as many warnings and blogs out there as you can.

DBS Bank Scam

Today I received a call 87592694... which looked like a normal local phone number.. BUT the caller had Filipino accent told me they are from DBS bank. (RED FLAG 1)   Then she informed me that someone had used my acc to transfer money to buy a gaming laptop and asked me if I bought any gaming laptops. I told her NO. And then she kept asking me this same number cos I gave a one word reply. Cos I think most people will panic and want to check this or that.. and she just asked me like 3-4 times till I asked her back "How many times do I have to say NO to you?"  (RED FLAG 2)   Then she said now that she confirmed I didnt make the purchase, she will have to undo the transaction by asking me for my name to verify it. To make me trust her, she asked me if my number is 1234567. Now the thing is.. that is my number but it is my work phone number and it is not linked to any of my banking accounts. Dating App Scams

I was trying to start dating again after a failed relationship and some friends suggested using a dating app. Turns out that that was the BEST and also the WORST suggestion ever. The BEST because I did eventually find Mr Right on the app.. BUT, not before I met tonnes of scammers online.
