Just received a call today warning me to QUARANTINE myself immediately. It says that if I am unsure about what to do, I can press '9'.
I knew it was a scam but just to see what they are up to, I decided that I will press 9.
A woman speaking in heavily accented english answered me and said "Hello.."
So I replied, "Hello..." and waited.
And then she kept saying hello and I waited... It is apparent she is from China based on her accent. Then I asked her what is this about...
She said this is a call from MOH and asked me if I knew how to speak mandarin.
"Are you kidding me, you are calling from MOH in Singapore and you cannot speak english?" I asked her.
She hung up on me.
When I told friends, we agreed that such scammers are really black hearted to make use of people's fear during such turbulent times.
Be careful and remember to remind the old folks at home of such scammers!
