Phone Line Terminated In 2 Hours

 Public Service Announcement. 

I just received a call that said my phoneline will be terminated in two hours and i must press 1 if i wanted to find out more.

I hung up n googled...  And found this below..

We would like to alert customers about an on-going scam.

What to look out for:

An automated message in English and/or Mandarin stating that your phone line will be terminated in two hours.

 

This is a scam.

 

How to protect yourself:

If you receive an unsolicited phone call that you suspect could be a scam, please hang up.


Never share your personal details, including passwords, with unknown callers or click on random links from unknown numbers.

Received an interesting email today titled " For all the scammed victims " from this email address: UnitedNN@seagreen.ocn.ne.jp Interestingly, the email is being sent to compensation@un.org but somehow I got it.. Possible Scam Report: Yieli.com 16 November 2009 Just received this email today... I suspect it comes from the same people who were scammed my husband... Everything, their offer, and modus operandi is the same.. the only difference is that they claim to be from a different company and is using a different name...
